On 26 January 2017, Saturn (Shani) moves out of Scorpio and into Sagittarius, into the ancient Vedic star sign of Mula. Now, in many ways our lives will be energetically easier and we will have the ability to find the truths we are seeking-Saturn Leaving Scorpio can create the evolution of liberation in the protest around the world-as we see now with recent post elections in the USA. Saturn the lord of truth in a deep sign of Scorpio suggest the Karma ending and now taking action toward that truth-
The fall of the cold war within -
With Saturn having being in Scorpio over the last couple years, it has felt like the floodgates of karma have been opening and closing constantly. There have been many powerful lessons of both frustration and upheaval, which, although they may have felt like the cause of great pressure and suffering at the time, have in fact led to great expansion, truth and growth. It may just take some time to fully integrate the significance and karmic reasons of this. Saturn moving into Sagittarius is the start of understanding as Saturn is the representation of restriction, the embodiment of Shiva and rules time. At the tail end of the last time Saturn was in Scorpio it was the end of the cold war and the berlin wall fell one year later when Saturn moved in to Sagittarius. The Chernobyl disaster right when Saturn was changing signs out of Scorpio- Perhaps that was Karma for the Berlin wall to fall-
It would not be surprising if a particular area of your life became challenging How the transit affected you would also depend on the exact influence of Saturn in your natal chart and the maturity of your planets and karma. There are many different forms of karma. Good karma, bad karma, Punya (positive karma) and Papa (negative karma), irreversible karma, reversible karma, karma that was created in this life and karma from other lifetimes. Saturn can show us our suffering until we understand our karma and its important role in our lives. Finding out how we can be of service can lead us to the truth of our life purpose.
Saturn takes about 29 years to travel the zodiac and stays in each sign for two and a half years. The slower a planet moves, the more impact it will have. The slower moving planets bring in more life changing events, while the faster moving planets pertain to more trivial events. When Saturn moved in to Scorpio two years ago, we were drinking the necessary medicine of our past lives and deepest fears. Saturn, the cold, slow moving planet, has been in Scorpio (ruled by Mars, a hot, fast moving Planet). Without a doubt, this last year has been the best year of my entire life, despite the great loss and death of my Mother, Father and older Sister Tina during this transit.
Mula-the 19th Nakshatra –
The ancient Vedic star sign, (the part of the sky where Saturn is moving)
The 27 Nakshatras are one of the oldest references we have to Vedic astrology coming from the Rig Veda dating back to about 2,000 BCE. Their meanings come from the constellations and the teachings behind these positions and line up with the Karma of our own Vedic charts in the understanding of the astrology in ourselves. They are rich and potent in meaning and have specific deities holding stories of lessons of our own lives.
Mula means “Root Star” This Vedic star sign that wants to get to the truth of what is real in our lives. In seeking truth, material attachments may seem to be taken away and the lesson of non-attachment leads us to spiritual realization and deep soul growth.
Nirriti is a goddess of destruction who lived in the kingdom of the dead and had the power to destroy. Her energy is called Alakshmi or denial of Lakshmi and is depicted as Kali.
The sense of loss of things or walls being destroyed forces one to look deeper and seek a higher power within in order to create a transformational experience and gain from the lessons learned over the last 2 and a half years, thus enabling us to step forward into enlightenment, happiness and the removal of addictions and whatever is not real in our lives.
Perhaps Trump is the Humpty Dumpty – or a sheep in wolves clothing - Alakshmi forcing that Kali energy to destroy what is not real and to help us in our evolution during this time.
The evolution of our suffering often comes with a price. The suffering of religious martyrs, who were tortured and killed for their beliefs, were called "passions," from the Latin passio, or suffering. Saturn is the measurement of our suffering and gives us strength, discipline and the determination to overcome.
Gandanta – (The Grandmothers knot, a Vedic measurement point of planets that Saturn is moving through)
Gandanta is the midway point in the zodiac which always takes place between a fire and water sign. It is connected with a time of powerful and deep soul growth. Gand means a knot. Anta means the end. Gandanta means the knot at the end.
This is the position of the zodiac where Scorpio (Jyeshta) intersects with Sagittarius (Mula). Here is where we need to discover how to untie the secret knot that will allow us the expansion of our positive future Karma into the next level.
Itʻs not always so easy to untie a tight knot. To accept the fact that our sufferings and problems have come to us as an essential part of the growth and evolution of our soul can be challenging. The key to Saturnʻs lesson is through acceptance of the past and future we can step forward into the truth and let the walls fall for creating enlightenment and truth in our life. Saturn is about the maturity of the soul growth according to Vedic text.
As a musician the great mystery of my life is how does my bag of cables and guitar cords get so knotted up? How do some people manage to create so many knots in their lives? How do I untie not only the karmic knot of my own past, but that of my family? This seems to be one of the seemingly simple, yet great mysteries of life.
The Ending and beginning of world cycles (known as the Yugas)
Only a small percentage of the Vedic knowledge has been recovered from the GOLDEN AGE (Satya Yuga) – With only 5-10 percent of this information then how can anyone be considered an expert in Vedic teachings? The Satya Yuga is to believe in what we cannot see. We have left a time of great ignorance- the Kali Yuga. The depiction of the Shiva Nataraja –depicting the cycle of yugas, shows Shiva stepping on ignorance.
Channeling of divine knowledge through Mantra, Yantras, and Vedic ceremonies is necessary to gain THE COSMIC DOWNLOADS OF TRUTH that help us understand that the beginnings and endings of world cycles are also related to the mini cycles that we see in ourselves through the planetary movements today. I am very sure we are in the Golden Age-
